SI3D was founded around January 2009, when MSTNoodle removed his Trainz content from the UKBL web. Despite these plans all models were removed for the final time in early 2009 because of continued harassment since MSTNoodle's models were first removed. Sodor Island 3D, often abbreviated SI3D, was back then the main and largest creator of Thomas Trainz content. By the end of the year Magandy managed to reach an agreement to have the original models re-released with improved textures, and changeable faces among other changes. texture files so that they would be harder to reskin.
